Ummmmm, did I fool anyone? The photo on the left was my beloved Oskar, The other photo is Molly, my recently adopted heart, who is almost identical to Oskar in every way. I don't just mean a look alike, I mean her mannerisms, the way she wants to be fed, what she wants to be fed, the positions she lays in, some command words I only used with Oskar, she knew......the moment she walked into the house she knew where she was, which door to use to ask to go out from, the lay of the house.......whose side of the couch was who's.....I came back into my living room the first night and stopped suddenly, inhaled sharply as Molly was sitting on my pillow against the heating pad with the same "whaaa" look Oskar would give me.......I thought it was my Oskar! Molly was heaven sent, I am convinced and believe that wholeheartedly.
Molly had three strikes against her and was even on a kill list with a shelter down south. She was rescued by a 2nd group here in Albuquerque, (the 1st rescue couldn't get her adopted either) and 2 days after meeting her, we adopted her. When you know you know, when they know (the pups), they know........its just meant to be.
I still get chills when I hear Molly's story of how she came to be at the right place on the exact day my hubby and I decided to visit a rescue group's adoption event (spur of the moment, mind you) and there she was, my Molly girl. So thank you Oskar, for giving my heart back to me......you will always be my soul.
